Why is there conflicting information about the essential oils I can use during pregnancy?

Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils can be a great support for an expecting mother, with benefits including pain relief, calming, sleeping, energy and mental grounding. However, there are also some warnings that you should consider before using essential oils in your pregnancy journey.
There are different opinions about the safety of using certain essential oils during pregnancy. Some essential oils are thought to have the effect of promoting menstruation or regulating hormones and although there is no evidence to suggest that these oils would affect a pregnancy, we cannot be sure, so for now avoiding these essential oils is prudent. Please always seek medical advice for use of essential oils during pregnancy.

What are the benefits of essential oil roller bottles?

Aromatherapy is a healing methodology that’s been practiced for centuries. It involves using the natural scents of plants (in the form of essential oils) to spark changes in the mind and body.
Aromatherapy can help to improve your anxiety, depression, and low moods. Roller bottles allow you to easily benefit from aromatherapy wherever you are, thanks to their mobile form. Just apply a roller bottle to your skin and you could be feeling better in no time.

How to use your roller bottle?

You can use a roller bottle anywhere on your body. Simply roll it across the desired spot and you’ve successfully applied the blend to that portion of your skin. But some parts of your body are more effective than others at absorbing the healing properties of an essential oil roller bottle.
If you want to make sure that you absorb the essential oil blend as effectively as possible, then apply the roller to one of these parts of your body:
  • Inner wrist
  • Behind the ear
  • On the temples
When using a photosensitive essential oil topically, avoidance of sunlight is recommended for up to 12 hours after use.
